Cachia extends contract with Carlton Dry Honda Racing for 2014

Carlton Dry Honda Racing today confirmed that Monster Energy MX Nationals MX2 contender Josh Cachia will remain with the team for the 2014 season.

Carlton Dry Honda Racing today confirmed that Monster Energy MX Nationals MX2 contender Josh Cachia will remain with the team for the 2014 season.

Cachia, who currently sits third in the MX2 class standings, has finished on the podium at three of the five MX Nationals rounds contested and boasts five top three race results.

The 21-year-old his thrilled to have his 2014 deal secured and looks forward to developing the all-new Honda CRF250 after wrapping up the 2013 season.

“It is a good feeling knowing I have a team that has my back,” Cachia said. “Both Honda and the team have shown great faith in me, especially as I am carrying an injury.

“I am looking forward to working with Honda and the team in developing the all-new CRF250 but my priorities first and foremost are the 2013 championships.”

Tony Hinton from Honda Motorcycles looks forward to continuing a their relationship with Cachia who is a former Honda junior rider.

“We are really pleased to see a former Honda junior rider continuing with us,” said Hinton. “There’s no doubt Josh is one of the most talented up and coming riders in the country right now and we look forward to supporting him as he challenges for the championship in both 2013 and 2014.”

The confirmation of Cachia’s re-signing strengthens the Carlton Dry Honda Racing teams 2014 line-up, which includes MX1 pilot Ford Dale.

Recent
