TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed recently sampled the all-new Miller Motorsports Park Motocross Track in Utah and came away from the day with positive reviews.
Miller Motorsports Park hosted an open House to debut its brand-new motocross track which will host the inaugural Built Ford Tough Utah National, round 11 of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.
Designed by master track builder Marc Peters, the circuit spans approximately 1.7 kilometres and features elevation changes of up to 25 metres above the flat desert floor.
Reed took to the track for some demonstration laps and the verdict from the 2009 US Motocross champion was overwhelmingly positive.
“The track is fun!” said Reed. “You almost feel like you are at the Motocross Des Nations, whether it be Donington or Genoa, Italy, with this style of facility. For me, it was awesome. I had a blast out there.”
Following three months of work constructing the all-new circuit, Peters believes the track will be like no other national event in the US.
“I think the riders are going to love this layout,” said Peters. “Once they get the top coat on the surface and rip it deep, this race will be like no other national out there, with an epic track surrounded by a beautiful facility.”
The Built Ford Tough Utah National will take place at Miller Motorsports Park on 17 August. Check out the film below for a sneak peak of Reed and local Utah rider Landen Powell tearing it up.
