RBP promotions have announced the three-round 2014 KTM Australian Enduro-X Nationals kicking off on 2 February 2014 at Brisbane Speedway.

The series has been structured to be run after the summer break and before Australian Off-Road Championships (AORC) giving both Australian and internationals a series showpiece with $50,000 total prize money on offer.

After the 2013 Enduro-X event at Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne promoter Dave Robbins said support from the Motorcycle industry, riders and public has been overwhelming and he looks forward taking the event to a national level.

“After two successful events in Melbourne and industry support growing, it was the logical next step to take the event to a semi national series,” said Robbins.

“Our sponsors have supported us, the riders enjoy the concept and the spectators like being up close to the action.

“With good venues and facilities close to capital cities it allows for greater crowd interaction, both on the track and in the open pit area. We have introduced a Saturday night event for Sydney to vary it up a little as the Sydney complex allows us to.

“With a compact series of three rounds lasting four weeks in duration, it opens the door for many top international riders to compete against Australia’s top riders.”

KTM Australia’s Jeff Leisk is excited about the unique concept and assures full support behind the series from the manufacturer.

“We are delighted to be involved in this exciting concept of motorcycle racing in Australia,” said Leisk. “The sports growth in such a short time in Australia has been amazing.”

The first event at Brisbane Speedway complex in Archerfield, a suburb of Brisbane and is ideally suited to spectator viewing and a good track layout. Being in Brisbane and close to facilities gives good access to spectators.

The Sydney Speedway complex is also close to facilities on the M4 Motorway and provides good viewing, parking and track
layout with spectator access to pits and display areas for a night time event.

The Calder Park raceway complex in Melbourne has proved itself as a great venue with some track changes in store, good viewing and plenty of parking as it overlooks Melbourne.

Details of current negotiations will be made available as they develop, entry details and tickets will be announced shortly. Check out www.enduro-x.com.au for more details.
