FIM, Youthstream and FIM Europe have announced an all-new European 300cc two-stroke championship scheduled to commence in 2014.

Following a meeting between FIM, Youthstream, FIM Europe and the manufacturers, all parties agreed upon the fresh and unique championship being added to next year’s calendar.

With the market demand of the two-stroke increasing rapidly, Youthstream plans to hold six to seven races alongside the FIM MXGP events like it has done in the past with the smaller 250 and 125cc classes.

The suggested capacity for the technical rules will be be from 200 to 300cc’s and organisers are looking at using the series as a base to take part in the FIM Motocross World Championship.

With the removal of the FIM MX3 World Championship for 2014, Youthstream and FIM Europe expect a large number of riders to participate in this championship.

This all-new two-stroke class joins the long list of changes announced earlier this week for the FIM Motocross World Championship. Click here for more details on the revamped regulations for 2014.
