Australian Motocross Championships continue this Sunday in Victoria.
The 2013 Monster Energy MX Nationals make their way to the Broadford State Motorcycle Complex in Victoria this weekend for the fourth event on the 10-round schedule.
The chase for Motorex KTM’s Todd Waters will resume at Broadford as the leading contenders recognise the need to reel in the class runaway. Waters enjoys a 44-point lead over Motul Pirelli Suzuki’s Matt Moss, with CDR Yamaha’s Lawson Bopping a further two points in arrears.
While MX2 leader Luke Styke has not broken away in the same fashion as Waters, he is showing a level of consistency and pace that is yet to be matched. Styke heads to round four with an 18-point buffer over teammate Luke Clout, with Kale Makeham an impressive third.
Two overall wins from as many starts mean Jack Simpson is the rider everyone wants to stop in the MXD ranks. Hamish Harwood has kept Simpson in check, and heads to round three with just a 12 point deficit to make up, though the best is yet to come from a number of other proven talents in the development class.
MotoOnline.com.au will compile an official pre-race Fan Guide ahead of every round in 2013.
