Chad Reed's team comes out on top in a fundraising race against other pro Supercross outfits.
TwoTwo Motorsports’ fundraising efforts have seen the outfit take out the inaugural MX for Children’s Jackpot Challenge Team Award as part of the 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season.
Team owner and rider, Australia’s Chad Reed, has been a long-time supporter of the MX for Children events, which raises vital funds for children’s hospitals throughout North America.
“I have participated in MX for Children events since their inaugural fundraiser in Seattle in 2006,” said Reed. “I’m honored to win this Jackpot Challenge team award because I think it is so great to see my young fans getting out raising money to help sick kids.”
The TwoTwo Motorsports fundraising team, including fans, raised $12,000 for the cause, with the highest contributor, Koen McLeod, winning a trip to the Supercross season finale in Las Vegas for his efforts.
Paul Gross, founder of MX for Children, said the inaugural team challenge element had exceeded initial expectations.
“Riders on the participating teams, such as Reed, Trey Canard and Matt Georke each took the time to personally support our activities throughout the Monster Energy Supercross season,” said Gross. “We’re very, very appreciative of all the teams’ support.”
TwoTwo Motorsports was one of a number of top-line teams taking part, with Monster Energy Kawasaki finishing in second place and Rockstar Suzuki third.
Team Honda Muscle Milk, BTO Sports – KTM and the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team also lent their support.
