CDR Yamaha Off-Road team rider Daniel Milner won the opening rounds of the Yamaha Victorian Off-Road Championship at Traralgon.

Fresh from winning the opening rounds of the national E1 series aboard the YZ250F, Milner dominated the sprint races both days at Traralgon.

“The conditions were the complete opposite to the Bulahdelah AORC last weekend,” he said. “It was dry and so dusty that we were having to change an air filter after every lap.

“But it was good being able to play around a bit and try different things each lap – like trying to smooth out my riding and doing some more bike testing.

“At the nationals we are always pushing ninety to a hundred percent, so you don’t get the chance to try much. I like supporting the series in my state and enjoy the events – they are always fun and professionally ran.

“This weekend was good and it was nice to take the wins. I won by 56-seconds on Sunday and a good margin on Saturday as well.

“Great boost to the confidence going into the Queensland AORC at Warwick next weekend. Can’t wait for it – it’s a two-day enduro. I love enduros and we haven’t had an AORC in this format since the beginning of last year.”

Milner sits third Outright in the AORC series behind KTM teammates Toby Price and Chris Hollis.
