Full Force CarsRus Racing MX2 rider Keiron Hall has been dealt a blow with a pre-season crash landing him in surgery.

Hall was training at his private track when the incident occurred, sidelining him for at least half of the Monster Energy MX Nationals.

“I was practicing at home doing motos and came around the corner, clicked up a gear and I must have clicked false neutral. I hit the up-ramp, went over the ‘bars and my shoulder popped out.

“I went straight to hospital and they put my shoulder back in and told me to go home and rest, but after a week it didn’t feel like things were too good and I got a referral to see a specialist.

“I got an MRI and got all of the bad news and went in for surgery yesterday to get everything fixed up and hopefully I’ll be riding in three months.”

Hall was having a career best pre-season and was looking forwarded to this year’s MX Nationals.

“I felt the fittest and best I had ever felt on the bike, I was definitely prepared for the season,” Hall said. “I definitely thought I was going to be a championship contender, it’s just a bit of bad luck, but everything seems to happen for a reason.

“I’m always going to be a bit bummed about what happened, but I can’t dwell on it, I’ve gotta look forward and hopefully recovery goes well and I’ll be back racing and 100 percent.

“I just want to thank the team for sticking by me in this tough time and I will see everyone at the track soon.

“Thank you to all of the sponsors that have come on board with the team this year, CarsRus.com.au, Thor, Spy, Jett, DID, Moriwaki, JT Sprockets, Motul, Hiflofiltro, Polisport and Bell Helmets, we couldn’t do it without you.”

The MX Nationals will commence at Raymond Terrace in NSW on 14 April.
