Take a look back at the 18-year-old's stellar MX Nationals first appearance in 2012.
At yesterday’s Monster Energy MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship, launch we saw the official MX2 outdoor debut of rising star Luke Clout at Serco Yamaha.
It’s a pivotal season for Clout, a teenage sensation who has experience in the US, but picked up a dream ride with Yamaha’s factory Australian Lites team for 2013.
Last year, Clout was a relative unknown to the established MX Nationals stars, but a spectacular debut at Moree’s penultimate MXD (Under 19s) round quickly elevated him into the spotlight.
From there he took up a guest ride with Serco in Australian Supercross, doing well enough to secure the seat alongside Luke Styke full time for this year in both outdoors and supercross.
At just 18, Clout has the world at his feet entering the MX Nationals, but judging by his form yesterday, he’s simply a kid who loves to ride his dirt bike.
