MX Sports Pro Racing has offically announced the Women’s Pro Motocross Triple Crown to be featured alongside the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.
The three round WMX series will be hosted at three selected venues which consist of the season opening Hangtown Motocross Classic, High Point and the sands of Southwick.
Although the amount of 2013 WMX round was forced to be reduced, Roy Janson, Director of Competition for MX Sports Pro Racing, says he is glad to be able to include the series at these three renowned venues.
“The number of 2013 events featuring women’s pro motocross has been reduced from past years due to operational demands associated with both the live events and the television and internet broadcasts for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship,” said Janson.
“This limits the ability to feature women’s pro motocross as often as we did during the 2012 season. Even though there will be fewer events featuring women’s professional motocross racing, MX Sports is pleased to be able to include the competition at these three great venues.”
The 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships and WMX Triple Crown will both get underway at the Hangtown Motocross Classic in California on 18 May.
