Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Kade Mosig is in a buoyant mood following his second place finish in the SX-Lites category at Dubbo’s season-opening round of the Terex Australian Supercross Championships.
The Victorian is confident he can go one better at next weekend’s Phillip Island round, satisfied with his strong points haul at the opener.
A 12th place gate pick for the final meant Mosig got an average start but he quickly knuckled down and got to work, overtaking riders one by one throughout the 15 lap final to take second place overall.
“All in all I’m happy with second,” Mosig said. “I’ve made a good solid start to the series so I’m happy. I would’ve liked a few more laps out there tonight because I reckon I could’ve got him.
“My fitness is on point, my bike set-up is great so I’m on the right track. There are a few things I feel I can work on and come out at the next round and get that next step better on the podium.”
The round marked Mosig’s first race weekend aboard the 2013 model Kawasaki KX250F.
