CDR Yamaha team owner Craig Dack is confident he has the right combination of riders to take on the upcoming 2012 Australian Supercross Championships.
After a stellar year in 2011, winning the Pro Open title with Jay Marmont, CDR Yamaha will be looking to earn that title once again.
With Lawson Bopping and the recent addition of Daniel McCoy, who landed himself a round win last season, Dack beleives he has a strong and talented team to bring to the table.
“I believe we have two great riders on board who are highly skilled supercross riders,” said Dack. “Lawson’s preparations have been limited as he is representing Australia in the Motocross of Nations in Belgium just two weeks prior to the start of the ASX, but he will make a quick transition.”
McCoy has had previous experience with the CDR Yamaha team and Dack is confident he will do his job when race day comes around.
“Daniel has been with us before and since getting his bike has been really happy with it and is riding well,” he added. “He knows this is a huge opportunity for him and is working had to make it a winner.”
The CDR Yamaha squad will line-up for the first round of the Australian Supercross Championships on 13 October at Dubbo in New South Wales.
