Josh Sheehan put on an impressive show for the Sydney crowd in lead up to the event.

2011 Cockatoo Island Red Bull X-Fighters winner Josh Sheehan diverted the attention of Sydney-siders skyward today as he launched high above Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens.

Sheehan threw down a series of warm-up jumps in preparation for the weekend’s Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour finale on Cockatoo Island.

His 2011 victory at the event proved a career-defining one, and after returning from injury this year, he is set to prove he is back to his best in front of thousands of home fans.

Sheehan will be one of four Aussies in the 12-rider lineup which reads as a who’s who of the popular action sports discipline.

New Zealand’s Levi Sherwood and France’s Thomas Pages head to event deadlocked on top points, guaranteeing the crowd a freestyle motocross fight of the highest order.
