Matt Phillips, along with his Yamaha factory supported Ballards/Park and Fly Off Road team, will be aiming for class titles at the upcoming ISDE and A4DE events.
Phillips recently took out out the 2012 Yamaha Victorian Off-Road Championship on his WR450F, building solid momentum heading into these two important events on the calender.
“This was the first year that I rode the whole series,” Phillips said. “I really enjoyed it. The championship was well run and quite professional – it was a good series.
“My favourite round was probably Wonthaggi. It was tied in with the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship rounds and had one track with an extreme test, which I enjoy.”
The Tasmanian will be leaving shortly to take on the world’s best at the International Six Days Enduro in Germany.
“We’re leaving on Sunday for the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE),” Phillips added. “I can’t wait for the race, which will be my second ISDE and is being held in Germany from the 24th to the 29th of this month.
“Then, a few weeks after we get back, we’ve got the Australian 4-Day Enduro, which I’m also excited about.
“I’ll be trying for another class title and hopefully a podium position in the Outright – it’s going to be a big few months!”
