Australia recently sent the top guns of our junior motocross scene to do battle at the 2012 Junior MX World Championship at Sevlievo in Bulgaria.
Australia’s 65cc riders Caleb Grothues and Riley Dukewhere claimed great success, landing themselves first and second finishes respectively in their division.
Grothues, hailing from Western Australia, was dominant in his class as he swept both 65cc motos in convincing fashion.
Finishing a solid third in both 65cc motos was Dukes. The New South Wales native landed himself the runner-up position with his consistent results, making it a 1-2 Australian affair on the podium.
Queensland duo Mitchell Evans and Hunter Lawrence competed in the 85cc class, taking home ninth and 13th place finishes respectively.
In the 125cc class it was Victoria’s Joel Milesevic and New South Wales’ Egan Mastin who represented the green and gold. Milesevic finished up in 17th position, while Mastin saw himself in 31st overall.
