MotoOnline.com.au has the ultimate guide to Appin's eighth round of the MXN series.
The Monster Energy MX Nationals will descend upon Appin in New South Wales this Sunday for the eighth round of the 2012 title series.
Leading the premier MX1 class into Appin is New Zealand’s Josh Coppins (CDR Yamaha). Sitting just eight points behind Coppins after another solid win in Horsham is Motul Pirelli Suzuki’s Todd Waters, a tight battle is shaping up between these two for the title.
Holding down third place for the MX1 division is Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s British import Brad Anderson who was previously tied on points with Lawson Bopping (CDR Yamaha) for the spot, Anderson has broken free and looking to finish on the podium for the season.
Serco Yamaha Metal Mulisha’s Luke Styke heads into his home race with the MX2 points lead, expect a return to form at Appin after recent sub-par results.
Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Ford Dale occupies second spot in the MX2 class, while the in-form Horsham round winner Josh Cachia (JDR Motorsports) sits in third.
Kiwi Kayne Lamont leads the Pirelli MXD class as they hit the hard clay of Appin, Lamont is on a roll of four consecutive wins at the moment and proves to be the man to beat.
Behind Lamont sits fellow KTM rider Dylan Long, along with Dylan Leary in third position making it a top three KTM sweep in the hotly contested division.
MotoOnline.com.au will compile an official pre-race Fan Guide ahead of every round in 2012.
