Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Brad Anderson rode to a fourth overall at round seven of the Monster Energy MX Nationals at Horsham in Victoria on the weekend, along with a solid finish, the British rider took a win against his battle with the dreaded arm-pump.

After entering the racing with the top MX1 qualifying spot Anderson saw himself suffer a turn of events. Taking a small crash in moto one which relegated the former MX Nationals winner to fifth place.

A second in moto two looked to turn his day around, before a dead last start in moto two saw the British champion finish up in sixth.

“The bike was great and the track was pretty good and technical, I just made some mistakes and endured a bit of bad luck trying to get to the front,” Anderson said.

“I pushed too hard to get to the front early in the races, I need to back it off slightly and be a little more patient.”

After battling with a severe case of arm-pump throughout the series, his improvement with the condition at Horsham will provide confidence for the remainder of the season.

“On a positive note my arm-pump was a lot better today, while it hasn’t gone completely it was nowhere near as bad as normal,” Anderson added.

Anderson currently holds down third place in the MX1 standings, 35 points behind current leader Josh Coppins.
