Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Brad Anderson will enter this weekend’s seventh round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals with another new track to learn come Sunday.
Anderson has not yet had the chance to race at Horsham, with previous plans to contest a Victorian state championship round washed out.
He’s focused on variety in his training routine ahead of this weekend and hopes to have overcome an energy-sapping head cold by the time the gates drop in the competitive MX1 class.
“This is another new track for me,” explained Anderson. “I would have like to have ridden the state event there a couple of weeks ago but it was washed out so I don’t really know what to expect.
“I’ve had a bad head cold the past week so I haven’t done as much riding as I would have liked leading into the weekend.
“I’ve tried to mix up my training a bit to ensure I am better and rested for the weekend.”
Anderson is currently tied for third in the MX1 title chase, within striking distance of series leader Josh Coppins with four rounds remaining.
