Raceline Pirelli Suzuki’s Jay Wilson is looking to find winning form for the remainder of his 2012 Monster Energy MX Nationals campaign, as he pushes for the top spot in the Pirelli MX Development class.

Wilson currently holds down seventh place overall in the MXD series, being on-point in every moto at every round proves to be crucial with such a hotly contested class for 2012.

At the most recent Hervey Bay round, the former junior world motocross champion pushed a lingering sickness aside and went to work out on the track. After making mistakes and crashing, Wilson still salvaged a solid fourth place overall ride on the day.

“I definitely think I should gain momentum from this round and I feel like I had the speed today,” Wilson said. “I’ve been sick all day which has been really tough.

“In the final race I thought I had the win, but then I got worn down, started making mistakes and crashed again. I’m going to move forward from here, so we’ll keep working.”

Wilson’s promising result in Hervey Bay will provide hope for an improvement in the coming rounds, as the series rolls into Horsham in Victoria for round seven on 15 July.
