After an injury riddled season to date, Monster Energy Kawasaki team manager Troy Carroll is looking forward to a strong finish to the season as his premier MX1 riders are slated to return to racing in the coming weeks.

British import Billy Mackenzie bowed out with a wrist injury at round two in Coonabarabran, and defending MX1 champion Jay Marmont entered the season with niggling injuries which eventually resulted in the four-time champion resorting to mid-season surgery and missing round six at Hervey Bay.

Carroll now looks forward to the coming rounds after their MX2 rider Kade Mosig showed solid form in Queensland over the weekend.

With Mosig feeling comfortable and both Mackenzie and Marmont set to return, the team is hoping for late season success.

“This was a positive weekend. It was a definitely a step forward for Kade even though the results don’t show it, said Carroll. “We’re looking forward to having Jay back next round and Billy back the round after that and with a full team again we’ll look forward to finishing the season on a winning note.”

Reigning champion Jay Marmont will rejoin the action at the seventh round of the 2012 Monster Energy MX Nationals at Horsham, Victoria on 15 July. Teammate Mackenzie is slated to return at Appin’s round eight in New South Wales on 29 July.
