Motorcycling Australia has officially announced the Australian team selected for the 2012 Junior World Motocross Championship, to be held at Sevlievo in Bulgaria on 12 August.

Victoria’s Joel Milesevic and New South Wales’ Egan Mastin will contest in the 125cc Class, while the Queensland duo of Mitchell Evans and Hunter Lawrence do battle in the 85cc Class.

In the 65cc Class it will be Riley Dukes from New South Wales and Western Australia’s Caleb Grothues represent the green and gold.

The team is a combination of new and returning faces, with Mitchell Evans returning for a third year while Hunter Lawrence and Joel Milesevic return for a second, alongside world championship debutantes Riley Dukes, Caleb Grothues and Egan Mastin.

Team manager Mark Willingham is excited to see what the high calibre 2012 Australian team can achieve.

“Australia has fielded great teams to the Junior Motocross World Championships over the past three years, and this team is no exception,” Willingham said.

“We have selected six exceptional riders from four different Aussie states, with an exciting mix of experience and new opportunities, and I’m looking forward to working with them over the coming weeks.

“All the riders are pumped to represent their country and are definitely up for the challenge of an international event – I can’t wait to see what each of them will bring to the world stage.”
