Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Brad Anderson has arrived in Western Australia ahead of this weekends 31st running of the WesTrac Manjimup 15,000.

The British Motocross Champion, who won the 2010 Manjimup 15000, was set to head back to Europe to contest the British MX GP but opted to remain in Australia for the historic motocross event.

The Cosy Creek track which once played host to the MX Des Nations and a round of the World 125cc MX GP, will see over 100 riders vying for the lucrative $20,000 purse.

“I have raced here before in 2010, the club is great and the support is awesome,” Anderson said.

“Originally I had planned to head back to Europe to contest the British MX GP but I really wanted to get some more miles on Australian tracks before the next round of the MX Nationals.

“This is a great way to get more race miles and it allows me to continue my testing program here in Australia without too much interruption,” he explained.

Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing Team Principle, Yarrive Konsky, firmly supports Anderson and believes it was the right choice to gain some extra track time ahead of the next round of the MX Nationals.

“This is a great opportunity for Brad to maintain race pace and compete,” Konsky said. “The track and format will help him, as he is used to competing more frequently in the UK.

“We are fully behind him racing and look forward to resuming testing ahead the nationals in the weeks to come,” Konsky concluded.

The Manjimup 15,000 will be held at Cosy Creek Motocross track on 2-3 June.
