Motorex KTM Off Road Racing’s Toby Price is on target for a third Australian Off-Road Championship following his sixth straight win at Broadford on Sunday.

Price won Saturday’s Cross Country event that made up round seven, staged over a grueling three-hour duration, by 8.246 seconds on the 500 EXC. He continued that momentum on Sunday in the Sprint round, picking up his sixth consecutive round win of 2012.

With form on his side and a healthy lead in the AORC series with four rounds remaining, Price is the favourite to clinch the 2012 championship. Price previously won the title in 2009 and 2010, respectively.

“We had Cross Country on the Saturday and Sprints on Sunday, managing to come out on top both days,” Price explained.

“I was able to extend the championship lead a little bit further and everything is going to plan with the Motorex KTM Off Road team.

“My 500 EXC is working awesome, so hopefully we are on track for more wins to get this championship back.”

Team manager Brad Williscroft continues to be impressed by Price, who also leads the E3 series for the first time in his career.

“It was another awesome result for the team and Toby continues to display his dominance in the big-bore class and Outright as well,” Williscroft explained.

“He rode really smart in the Cross Country, did what he had to do after getting into the lead early and setting a good pace.”

Price and the Motorex KTM Off Road team will now turn their attention to the Finke Desert Race early next month.
