Australian Matt Moss has been forced out of the opening round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, he’s announced via Twitter this morning.
The JDR/J-Star/KTM rider was on track to make his return to the AMA nationals in the FMF Hangtown Motocross Classic on Saturday, however Aussie fans will have to wait until round three before we can see him in action.
“To all my followers I won’t be racing the first two rounds due to some medical problems with me,” Moss wrote. “Sorry, I’ll come back stronger than ever.”
Moss just came off a promising first full season of West Coast Lites Supercross in the U.S, where he rode to a solid fifth place overall in the point standings.
The highlight of Moss’ season was a podium at the San Diego round earlier on in the season, becoming the only JDR rider in history to finish on the box in America.
Further information on Moss sitting out the round was unavailable as we published this update.
