Hughes will return with the Rock River Yamaha/Moto Star team at 39 years of age, marking the comeback of one of the sport’s greats.

Rock River Yamaha/Moto Star will provide a Yamaha YZF450F for him that is race ready and loaded with some of the best equipment in the business with the help of many sponsors.

Hughes has been racing professionally in the motocross industry since 1988, following an impressive amateur career. In 1990, Hughes had 10 amateur titles to his name and in his first national motocross moto, he placed an impressing fifth place.

Turning professional at the age of only 15, Hughes carried out a career of factory rides for over 19 years. With an outstanding list of accomplishments, Hughes was a top 10 racer during his career and has raced many different types of events.

His list boasts racing AMA Supercross, the AMA Motocross nationals, the FIM World Championships, World Supercross, Endurocross, Supermoto, GNCCs, WORCS and he was also a three-time attendee of Motocross of Nations.
