Dean Ferris has claimed his first GP top 10 finish in Fermo, Italy, over the weekend on his ICE1RACING ride, while Christophe Pourcel and Jeffrey Herlings both took home wins.

In Ferris’ second race back from injury, the Australian rode consistently on the rough and rutted circuit to take home 17-10 moto finishes in the MX1 class, taking 11th overall.

Ferris credits his success to his team’s hard work and consistent riding.

”I’m very satisfied with my riding,” Ferris said. “I didn’t do anything crazy and I rode consistently. I want to thank the team from the hard work and the new set-up.”

Pourcel took out his first MX1 overall win of the season on his Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit machine, with defending champion Antonio Cairoli taking out second and Clemente Desalle rounding out the top three overall.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings brought home the win in the MX2 class, but not before losing his front brake completely, putting in an impressive charge to the front with only his rear brake in working order.

Behind Herlings was the young American Micheal Leib on his Monster Energy Yamaha fill-in ride, while Jeremy van Horebeek took out third position.

The FIM World MX Championships moves into the fourth GP of the season in Guadalajara in Mexico, 13 May.
