Coming off his recent shoulder injury, Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey is content with his sixth place finish at round 15 of the Monster Energy AMA supercross series in Seattle.

After suffering a broken collarbone and sitting out six-rounds of racing, Dungey hit the track in Seattle with minimal time on bike.

Dungey explained that he plans to use the remaining supercross rounds to prepare for the upcoming outdoor MX season.

“Finishing sixth tonight is definitely not where I want to be,” said Dungey.

“However, the best way to improve in racing is to race and that is what I intend to do for the next few rounds to help me improve and prepare for the outdoors.”

Dungey will look to move up the ladder as the series heads into Rice-Eccles Stadium on 28 April in Salt Lake City, UT.
