Privateer Gavin Faith has been confirmed by the JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha team to fill in for James Stewart while he recovers from a fractured bone in his hand sustained during a crash at Indianapolis.
The 20-year-old American rode for the Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing team in Australian SX last year, before returning to America and taking a brief guest ride on the GEICO Honda team in the AMA Supercross West Coast Lites series.
More recently, Faith has been campaigning a privateer Honda CRF450R in the Supercross Class and has impressed.
With the opportunity at JGRMX he will now have the chance to ride one of the best bikes on the track, in the JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha-prepared YZ450F.
Faith will be riding the JGRMX machine at the Seattle and Salt Lake City rounds of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship.
Stewart has just began riding again and, depending on the progress of his recovery, may return for the final round on 5 May in Las Vegas.
