Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Kade Mosig is celebrating his first Monster Energy MX Nationals podium for his new team, after taking third overall in the MX2 class at Coonabarabran.
Mosig put together a consistent day with 2-5-6 results to put himself on the box behind Luke Styke and Kirk Gibbs.
An impressive charge in the final 30-minute moto from last to sixth after being stuck in the gate proved Mosig is fit, fast and motivated.
“The first race I got a second, I got a pretty good start then I sort of buggered the start in the second,” said Mosig.
“In the third race, I hit the gate, so I came from last but I got back to sixth, so I busted my butt and ended up getting up there and got it on the podium this week.
“I’m pretty happy, we made some good progress with the bike in between rounds and I think we can take another step forward next round.”
Mosig’s podium finish moves him to fourth place in the points standings as the Monster Energy MX Nationals series rolls into Wonthaggi in Victoria on 28-29 April.
