Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Kade Mosig was regarded as an MX2 favourite coming into round one of the Monster Energy MX Nationals at Conondale.
But after suffering from bad starts and pushing through the field, Mosig was only able to capture a seventh place overall, and he admits he will need to go back to the drawing board for round two.
“I got some solid points this round. I was really consistent around the sixth and seventh place but I’ve got a few things I need to work on but it’s good to see where we’re at,” said Mosig.
“The bike’s good, the bike’s really good. I just think we need to make some minor adjustments and fine-tune it. My fitness is good, I pushed as hard as I could in all the races.
“We’ll just go back to the drawing board and make some minor adjustments to my bike and we should be right.”
Look for an improved performance from Mosig come 14-15 April when racing kicks off for round two at Coonabarabran.
