The Motorex KTM Off Road Racing team will do battle for all three championship class titles when the Australian Off Road Championship fires up at Dungog, NSW, this weekend.

Defending AORC Outright and E2 Champion Chris Hollis will make his national off-road debut with Motorex KTM Off Road Racing, as will rising star Ben Burrel, joining KTM’s returning two-time champion Toby Price.

Team manager Brad Williscroft says the team has had a strong pre-season preparation despite the recent rain that has fallen on much of Australia’s east coast of late, and all three riders are ready to get their title aspirations underway.

“Toby will be on the 500 EXC in E3, Chris on the 350 EXC-F in E2 and Ben on the 250 EXC-F in E1, which gives us a chance at battling for all three of the major category titles,” said Williscroft.

“Toby really liked the 500 and he has been really quick on that, so he’ll switch from E2 to E3 for this year, which is ideal for the team so we can compete across the board for all three titles.”

“The team’s progress has been coming along good and we were able to ride last weekend. It’s been difficult in the lead-up to the series with all the rain, but they’ve been able to get on the bikes in the wet recently at home as well – it’ll make things interesting.”

Hollis moves to KTM as the defending Outright champion after winning the title as part of the Ballard’s Yamaha squad in 2011.
