Australian Ryan Marmont has confirmed that he’ll return to racing in this weekend’s Oakland round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross.
The JDR/J-Star/KTM team rider took a week off after suffering a concussion during training early last week, but will return to racing on Saturday night.
“I’ve spent two days on the KTM test track riding along with [Ryan] Dungey and it has been a good couple of days,” Marmont told MotoOnline. “I can’t expect too much, but we’ll see how it goes and hopefully score a decent result.”
Marmont was called up at the last minute to replace PJ Larsen on the West Coast in the Lites, making for a difficult opening couple of rounds.
Between Marmont, Chad Reed, Brett Metcalfe, Matt Moss and Cody Mackie, there will be five Aussies confirmed for this weekend.
