Chad Reed has been ranked sixth in SPEED Australia’s ‘Top 10 Aussies of 2011 in Motorsport’ feature.
In a chart lead by MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner ahead of IndyCar ace Will Power and F1 contender Mark Webber, Reed is the lone motocross rider to make the list.
Also ahead of Reed was NASCAR race winner Marcos Ambrose and V8 Supercars Champion Jamie Whincup, the pair rounding out the top five.
Reed enjoyed a breakthrough year as team owner/rider at TwoTwo Motorsports, gaining factory Honda support during the middle stages of the season.
With a second place finish in supercross and third outdoors, Reed’s popularity has boosted this year. Reed also led Team Australia to a podium at the Motocross of Nations.
