Belgian Joel Roelants has signed with CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit for the 2012 MX2 Motocross World Championship.
In his last season in the MX2 class due to the age limit, Roelants will team with Tommy Searle and enters the series as a favourite after scoring several podiums in recent seasons.
“I’m sure I can have much better results now next season by so by joining the CLS Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit team,” Roelants said. “It is a strong team, and they have one of the best bikes in the MX2 class. I’m very happy to ride a Kawasaki, it has been a dream for me as I like this bike so much.
“This year has been difficult, but I think that people see what was wrong and know what I can do if I’m in a good shape and if everything is perfect. I look forward to next season and I hope it will be a good season.
“I met Tommy Searle two years ago in the U.S, while practicing in winter time, and I’m sure he will be a strong teammate.”
As well as the MX2 World Championship, Joel will enter the Dutch National series and will join the team to begin his preparations for 2012 season on the KX250F.
