Monster Energy Yamaha’s Gautier Paulin will step up to the MX1 class for this weekend’s final round of the world championship in place of Steven Frossard.
The Frenchman will make his debut in the premier class after Frossard was unfortunately forced to withdraw from the event late this week.
Paulin, who scored seven podium results on the YZ250FM in the MX2 category and was assured of fourth position in the standings last weekend in Germany, has been given the chance on the factory machine to help Yamaha consolidate second place in the manufacturer’s standings.
He’ll also gain valuable track time at his own wish for his role with the French team for the 65th Motocross of Nations at St Jean D’Angely next weekend.
