Suzuki's Lites bike has been released for the 2012 season.
Suzuki Australia sent us this information on the 2012 RM-Z250, which is now available:
Suzuki’s 2012 RM-Z250 motocrosser has been unveiled and ready to take on any competition.
The 2012 Suzuki RM-Z250 packs a punch with a powerful 249cc, four-stroke engine, lightweight aluminium chassis, Showa suspension and Suzuki’s latest off-road competition technology.
Following in the footsteps of its big brother – the championship-winning RM-Z450 – the Suzuki RM-Z250 was the first, quarter-litre production motocross machine to feature Suzuki’s innovative fuel-injection technology.
A dominant competitor in the Australian motocross and supercross scene since its introduction, the Suzuki RM-Z250 recently clinched another championship title with young gun Errol Willis claiming the Under 19 2011 Australian National Motocross Championship.
Suzuki’s original Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system incorporates a 43mm throttle body with progressive throttle linkage and a battery-less fuel pump, giving the RM-Z250 outstanding performance.
The 249cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid cooled DOHC engine is engineered to perform, delivering impressive high-end performance throughout a wide powerband, without compromising low-to-mid range power and torque.
Developed in competition, a high-strength, twin-spar aluminium alloy frame gives riders agile handling, whilst the chassis and suspension system offer superior cornering and tighter line selection.
Motocross and supercross racers of the Suzuki RM-Z250 are eligible to register for Suzuki’s Support Rider program, offering generous contingency payments on national and state championships.
With its aggressive looks, the 2012 RM-Z250 is guaranteed to catch the eye of observers and now sports a red gripper seat cover and black fork leg protectors, set off dramatically by the updated graphics adorning Suzuki’s traditional Champion Yellow / Black livery.
New for 2012, the Suzuki RM-Z250’s comprehensive spares kit now includes an air filter, additional oil filter and a piston ring set to help keep the machine in top competition shape.
Race ready, out of the crate, the 2012 RM-Z250 is available for a Recommended Price of $10,690.
