The Yamaha Australian Off Road Championship will continue at Callington in South Australia at the end of this month on 27-28 August.
The torrential rain that saw the rescheduling of the second half of the championship has not dampened the competition, with some of the biggest names in Australian Off Road racing set to carve up the Callington terrain.
All eyes will be on reigning champion Toby Price who is in in blistering form after taking out the Hattah Desert Race, Australian Four Day Enduro and collecting gold with Matt Phillips in the International Six Day Enduro (ISDE) E2 Class.
Price enters the event chasing Chris Hollis, who leads the championship by seven points.
Hollis and Price will be joined by a host of talent including former world champion Stefan Merriam, ISDE gold duo winner Matt Phillips, Ben Graham, Glen Kearney, Geoff Braico, Jarrod Bewley, Stefan Grandquist, Bartosz Oblucki and former champ AJ Roberts.
Emilie Karlsson will lead the Women’s class into the weekend with Jemma Wilson and Jess Gardiner, warmed up from a podium finish at the ISDE in Finland, in strong contention.
Following the South Australian rounds, the AORC will continue at Mt. Seaview in New South Wales on 10-11 September, before concluding at Salisbury in New South Wales on 1-2 October.
