Red Bull Teka KTM riders currently have a stranglehold on both MX1 and MX2 classes at Round 11 of the FIM Motocross World Championship prepares to take place in the deep sand of Lommel, Belgium.

Antonio Cairoli comes into Lommel looking to increase his lead over Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1’s Clement Desalle in the the MX1 series. While it would appear on paper that Desalle holds the home track advantage being a Belgian native, Cairoli also bases himself in the region in his off season, seeing it almost as his second home event.

After leading the series earlier in the season, Desalle has suffered injury setbacks while his rival Cairoli recovers from his early season problems. Still feeling far from 100 percent fit, Desalle has confessed that it is going to be a tough weekend for him, but he will do his best to fight for a victory, as he currently sits 42 poins behind Cairoli.

Red Bull Teka KTM’s Ken Roczen seems to be the clear favourite to win the FIM MX2 World Title, but the young talented rider knows that anything can happen, especially at a track such as Lommel where his teammate Herlings is the specialist. However, after taking 1-2 moto scores last year for the overall victory, Roczen is confident of another strong showing.

Herlings still sits second in the point standings, 27 points behind Roczen, knowing he has a great chance to gain some valuable points in the title chase.

The Grand Prix of Belgium will take place this Saturday, July 28.
