American Honda’s current 250 Class champion Trey Canard has suffered another heartbreaking injury in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, with scans confirming a fracture of his femur yesterday at Washougal.

The talented 450 Class rookie stunned the motocross injury by qualifying first and scoring third overall on debut at Millville last week, however a scary moto two crash at Washougal saw him again forced to the sidelines with a broken leg.

Canard again impressed in moto one at Washougal with another brilliant third position, but his crash on the second lap of moto two has again ruled him out of the season.

The incident caused a red flag race stoppage while the Asterisk Medical Crew attended to Canard.

Canard’s injury comes as a massive blow to American Honda, with Josh Grant forced to miss the entire season with a knee injury and veteran Kevin Windham opting out of the series following Millville.

The injury for Canard marks the third time he has broken his femur during a spectacular career, most recently breaking it in April while preparing for the outdoors.
