Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Todd Waters will continue his comeback this weekend when round seven of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals series visits Wodonga.
Waters has admitted he’s looking for improvements this weekend after a cautious return to the national series a fortnight ago, missing much of the season to date after sustaining a wrist injury in February.
The young Queenslander has spent the past week with the team in Melbourne undergoing his first full program of testing since his injuries.
“I spent the past week testing in Melbourne with the team which was my first real test session with everyone since my injury,” said Waters.
“I found it really tough at Coonabarabran. I struggled with my starts and coming through the pack. I think I was a bit hesitant off the start and just didn’t put myself in a very good position.
“We have made some changes to the bike and I feel stronger so hopefully I will be back running with the guys at the front this weekend.”
Despite it being his comeback ride on the national circuit at Coonabarabran, Waters raced to a consistent ninth overall for the round.
