New-look series returns again with Monster Energy on board this October.
This year’s Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, calendar has today been unveiled by series promoter Global Action Sports.
A new-look five-round series has been set for 2011, featuring a mix of large stadiums and regional-based locations for the championship that will take place over five consecutive weekends.
Round one will take place at Melbourne Knights Stadium in Victoria on 22 October, a fresh new venue for the series that usually hosts soccer matches.
The series will then head to New South Wales for three straight weekends, commencing with round two at Wollongong’s WIN Stadium on 29 October.
The series last visited WIN Stadium in 2009, the home of the St. George Illawarra Dragons NRL squad.
From there the series will reach round three at Campbelltown Stadium, the home of the West Tigers NRL team, on 5 November. Click here to check out our news story from yesterday.
Maitland Oval will mark a surprise addition to the calendar for round four in the Hunter Valley of NSW, that event scheduled for 12 November.
The series finale will no longer be held at Brisbane’s QSAC Stadium, instead now taking place at the North Ipswich Reserve in South East Queensland on 19 November.
