Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals Pro Lites series leader Matt Moss has declared himself fit for this weekend’s sixth round of the series at Coonabarabran in New South Wales.

Moss, 23, will head JDR Motorex KTM’s four-rider line-up, looking to improve upon his handy 27-point lead in the championship standings just past the halfway point.

Recent rounds haven’t been easy for Moss, from the South Coast of NSW, as he’s battled a fractured shoulder blade, however the time off over the past month has him raring to race on Sunday.

“All in all I’ve had a sore wrist during the year and then I hurt my shoulder, so the four weeks off has really helped me heading into Coonabarabran,” Moss explained.

“My body now feels really good and I returned to riding on Tuesday this week. Straight away I felt comfortable and the bike’s awesome.

“It’s a track that I like and it suits the way I ride – I can’t wait to get started.”

Moss has counted twin brother Jake Moss as the man to beat this weekend, the Serco Yoshimura Yamaha rider gaining momentum during the season after missing the opening round through injury.
