CDR Rockstar Yamaha’s Jay Marmont feels his win at the Manjimup 15,000 event over the weekend could be just the thing to turn his form around in the MX Nationals series.

Long seen as one of the toughest and most challenging events in Australia, Marmont was able to take the win over the UK’s Bryan Mackenzie wih three race wins and a second.

“I love racing at this event,” Marmont said after a long day.

“The track is easily one of the best in Australia, the club do a great job promoting it and there is always a good atmosphere here.”

Marmont, the three time consecutive and current MX Nationals champion, currently sits fifth in the Pro Open championship. As the series moves past it’s halfway point, he knows it is time to up the ante if he wants to stay in the running for his fourth title.

“Winning an event like this is just what I needed to get my season back on track and get some momentum going my way in the MX Nationals.”

“I now head back to Queensland where I’m going to race at a local event up there before heading to Coonabarabran for round six of the MX Nationals.

Round six of the Rocktsar Energy MX Nationals will take place at Coonabarabran’s Goanna Tracks complex on June 19.
