Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Billy Mackenzie has revealed that he’s in line to contest the British round of the Motocross World Championship in August.
Mackenzie broke the news via Twitter yesterday in a post to Chad Reed, Tweeting that he’s “getting geared up for the Brit GP in August”.
The ultra-fast Scotsman left the GP series last season in order to refocus his career on Australia for a new beginning of sorts, finishing second in the MX Nationals series and then stunning with Super X podium finishes despite missing the opening half of the year.
It’s expected that Mackenzie will compete in the round aboard a factory Kawasaki at the round, which will be held at Matterley Basin on 21 August.
The British GP will take place just weeks following July’s MX Nationals season finale, also less than a month prior to the Motocross of Nations event in France.
