Hedley sweep boosts Price back into AORC title contention

Price's weekend AORC sweep netted him much needed points.

Dual Australian Off Road Champion Toby Price’s clean sweep of rounds three and four of the Australian Off Road Championships at Hedley on the weekend has placed him back into championship contention.

Price took the outright and E2 class wins on his KTM 350 EXC-F on both days of competition, toughing out the three hour cross country race on the Saturday, and going on to back up with a win in Sunday’s sprint race.

“We had a big break following round one, but from the weekend’s results we are right back in it and that’s good to see,” Price said.

Price has been chasing points after suffering a DNF at round one of the series, with this win bumping him up to second in the outright championship and only fourteen points out of the lead in the E2 class.

“Hopefully we can keep the KTM up front from now on, keep chipping away at those points and hopefully get back into the lead.” stated Price.

“It’s nice to get back racing again and hopefully we can keep that confidence high and keep moving forward.”

The AORC now heads to Dungog on June 18-19 for rounds five and six of the championship.
