Australia’s own defending Can-Am GNCC Champion, Josh Strang, has hinted that he may contest a round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross series at some stage in 2011.

Unlike many of his GNCC competitors who live on the East coast and spend a lot of time riding together in the woods, Strang, who currently sits two points out of the lead for the 2011 GNCC championship, calls California home for a great deal of his race season.

Situated in the heart of the American motocross industry with an abundance of prepped motocross tracks within arm’s reach, Strang has found himself mixing his woods training with mid week motos with the motocross pros.

After posting a photo of his motocross bike on Twitter, many are wondering if we will see him make a cameo appearance in this years motocross championship.

“I don’t know, those numbers were just from last year. It actually wasn’t ready to go to race outdoors but we’ll see.” commented Strang when asked about the Twitter pic.

“We have a summer break again year and I was talking to a couple people and I would really like to do some nationals it just depends if we can organize it a little bit.”

“GNCC is the priority at the moment but hopefully I can fit something in somewhere during the break,” he said.

Already known for his motocross prowess having scored points last year at the Red Bud national, most fans would love to see Strang post another motocross result this year and do it for the woods boys!
