Marmont said he felt tight on the bike in the Toowoomba mud.

CDR Rockstar Yamaha’s Jay Marmont has admitted that he couldnt quite get comfortable on the bike at Toowoomba, round five of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals.

The treacherous conditions mounted a huge challenge for all riders, including the reigning and three time MX Nationals champ.

“I just couldn’t get a good feel in the mud today. I was just fighting it all the way and you can’t ride conditions like we had today like that.” Marmont commented after the race.

“I know what I needed and wanted to do and ride really loose and relaxed but I strangled the bike to death and got no real flow out there.”

After passing the halfway point in the championship, Marmont currently sits fifth in the points going into round six next month at Coonabarabran.
