JDR Motorex KTM’s Ryan Marmont is yet to decide whether he’ll contest the Toowoomba round of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals this weekend as he continues to recover from injuries sustained in South Australia last Sunday.
The Pro Open rookie crashed out of a treacherous moto four at Murray Bridge and was transported to hospital with suspected shoulder and leg injuries.
In speaking to MotoOnline.com.au late last week Marmont confirmed that his shoulder was healing well with no sign of fractures, however his ankle injury could force him out of round five this weekend.
No breaks have been found in the ankle and it is believed to be a bad sprain, although Marmont is still awaiting final checks when X-ray scans from South Australia arrive this week.
Marmont had impressed in his maiden Pro Open season to date aboard KTM’s 350 SX-F, winning a moto at Appin and currently sitting eighth in the standings to date.
