Team 07 Axis Honda Motorsports’ Kieran Hall was a standout in Appin’s second round of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals, his third place finish in moto two boosting him to ninth overall for the round.
Hall was a highlight for the team during the Appin weekend, and he says he now feels like he belongs in the top 10 of the Pro Lites category.
“I am starting to feel like I belong in the top 10 and with my results today I believe I can continue to bring home the results required from me,” Hall said.
“I have had some good results at Barleigh Ranch so I really want to keep pushing up the championship table this coming weekend.”
Experienced teammate Cody Mackie continued his solid 2011 form with fourth overall via 11-4-11-2 results, now placed fifth in the title chase.
“I finally got some decent starts and I feel I was a little unfortunate to not finish on the podium with a mechanical in race three,” Mackie said. “Apart from that I am looking forward to this weekend.”
The team’s Under 19s rider Dylan Peterson was another strong performer during round two, finishing third overall and moving to fourth in the series,
“Even though I moved forward in the championship to fourth place with my third overall it has brought me mixed emotions,” Peterson said. “It’s always good to be on the podium, but third is simply not good enough for me or the team.
“I like Barleigh Ranch so I bring on next weekend.”
The series will now move on to Barleigh Ranch at Raymond Terrace this weekend for round three of nine.
