South Australian Brett Metcalfe is expected to return for this weekend’s 12th round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, in Toronto, Canada.
Metcalfe will rejoin the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team after sitting out the Indianapolis and Jacksonville rounds in a bid to regain full fitness to close out his rookie season.
After a consistent start to his first season in 450 Supercross, Metcalfe suffered heavy falls at both Atlanta and Daytona, making the decision to have a couple of weeks off while recovering from a series of slight injuries.
Metcalfe now sits 10th in the standings after 11 of 17 rounds, his best result coming at Oakland’s fourth round.
